Refund policy
TAYAM REFUND POLICY
Thank you for shopping with us. As a provider of high-quality jewelry, we take pride in our craftsmanship and service. Please review our refund and return policy carefully before making a purchase.
Our policy is fully compliant with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. CHANGE OF MIND
Please choose your jewelry carefully, as we do not offer refunds if you simply change your mind, buy the wrong size, or decide you no longer want the item.
However, we want you to love your pieces. For standard online purchases (excluding custom or altered items), we may offer a Store Credit or Exchange within 14 days of delivery, provided that:
- The item is unworn, undamaged, and in its original pristine condition.
- The item is returned in its original packaging (including boxes, pouches, and certificates).
- You provide proof of purchase.
Note: Any shipping costs and non-refundable payment processing fees (including but not limited to Afterpay, PayPal, or credit card fees) incurred by the merchant during the original transaction will be deducted from the store credit amount.
2. CUSTOM AND ALTERED ORDERS (FINAL SALE)
All custom-made, bespoke, engraved, personalized, or resized jewelry pieces are strictly non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and final sale. Production begins immediately after confirmation, and these items cannot be resold.
3. FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS
Under the Australian Consumer Law, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If you believe your jewelry has a manufacturing defect, please contact us at info@tayam.com.au within 48 hours of receiving your order with:
- Your order number.
- Clear photographs and videos of the alleged fault.
If the item is deemed faulty by our team upon physical inspection, we will fulfill our legal obligations to repair, replace, or refund the item. Wear and tear, accidental damage, stone loss due to mishandling, or tarnishing over time do not constitute a manufacturing fault.
4. RETURN SHIPPING PROCESS
To initiate a return for exchange or inspection, you must contact us first. Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
- Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges (except in verified cases of manufacturing faults).
- Risk & Insurance: Jewelry is a high-value item. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service (e.g., Australia Post Express) with Signature on Delivery and purchasing Shipping Insurance. We are not responsible for return parcels lost or damaged in transit.
